The Colon Cancer Alliance
A great starting off point for colon and rectal cancer patients and caregivers. Not only can you find extensive information on all aspects of the cancer (symptoms, diagnosis, treatment options, clinical trials and much more) but there is also a "buddy program" (where current patients are matched with survivors), an online chat room (for scheduled chat times, click here) and many inspirational survivor stories as well.
American Cancer Society's "Learn About Colon and Rectal Cancer"
The American Cancer Society presents extremely detailed infomation on the topic of colon and rectal cancer. Topics covered include overviews of the cancer, treatment options, statistics, and more. The information is also expressed in a way that is easy to read and understand. This is a great starting off point for learning about colon and rectal cancer.
The Colorectal Cancer Network
Another great resource for colon and rectal cancer patients and caregivers. This web site provides detailed information on aspects of the cancer and its treatment, as well as clinical trial information and help on finding support groups throughout the country.
OncoLink's Colon & Rectal Cancer Information Page
OncoLink is a web resource created by the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania. Their colon and rectal cancer page is a good resource for general information, treatment options, support and news.
US National Cancer Institute's Colon & Rectal Cancer Page
This site is a great gateway page to finding out more detailed information on colon and rectal cancer. Topics covered include treatment (along with a clinical trials search), literature, statistics and more.
